MaryAnn Sings: “I Hope You Dance” by Lee Ann Womack

This song embodies my wish for you, that you live your life in the best way for you, that you pursue what is meaningful and worthy as a purpose for you, that you live your life without regret.
We live in an age where influencers and advertising constantly sell us the ideal lifestyle, and it’s easy to get swept away into believing that we’re missing out, that we’re not living as we’re supposed to, and we may begin to chase after an ideal that doesn’t resonate with us, that isn’t at all who we are.
In a world full of distraction and clutter, it becomes difficult to connect with ourselves again, to get to the heart of what truly matters to us, and to live a life of meaning and purpose that is unique to you and you alone.
Singing is a powerful way to get in touch with ourselves again. Our voice is so intricately connected to who we are as a human being, that it’s only when we allow ourselves to sing and voice out what already resides within us, then we can begin to cut through the noise and develop an awareness of what truly resonates.
