MaryAnn Sings: “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” by U2

As a seeker, this song is my perpetual anthem.

I’ve taken steps to fulfil some of my biggest dreams, and I have new dreams to fulfil.

My dreams have led me to experience life in places around the world, but I haven’t seen enough.

I’ve climbed mountains and crossed oceans to be with the boys I once loved, and I still don’t know if there’s a right guy for me.

I’ve devoted years of my life to the serving God through my talents, only to learn that the Church and religion doesn’t have all the answers.

The perpetual quest for experiences, love and answers has led to me living a rather unconventional hyphenated life.

And I still haven’t found what I’m looking for.

I’ve started to see that as a seeker, even if I do find what I’m looking for, I will naturally start to look for something else, and so the quest never ends.

The real question then is: What’s it all for?

For me, one thing is for certain — everything I’ve done and put myself through has always led to deeper and further discoveries about myself, what truly matters to me, and how to create the best life that only I can live.

If you’d like to discover more about yourself, singing is a powerful way to connect with your more authentic side.

When you free your singing voice, you’ll get more directly in touch with a deeper part of yourself, parts that are usually even hidden from you in the midst of your day-to-day survival roles and responsibilities.

And if you find yourself resonating with this song, perhaps you just might be a seeker like me.
